Your Magical Love Language (And Why It Changes Everything)

Last week I was out for my afternoon wander—the one I pretend is “exercise” but is actually more like faery reconnaissance—and I had one of those little epiphanies that arrive when you stop trying so hard.

I was thinking about how the trees “talk” to us. Not in words. More often in sensations—the little zing of joy when sunlight hits moss, the quiet reassurance when a raven croaks as if to say, Yes, you’re on the right path, human. Stop doubting.

And then it hit me:

Nature has a love language.
And so do you.

Not the mundane human love languages you’ve probably heard about (though, sure, those are helpful too), but magical language. A way your soul prefers to communicate with the world of energy, intuition, and the shimmering unseen. A way you naturally receive guidance, connection, and enchantment.

When I first stepped onto this magical path, I tried to be Very Wizardly and Very Serious. I lit candles, burned enough frankincense to fumigate a small cathedral, and attempted to chant in Old Irish (apologies to every ancestor who had to witness that).

But the moments that actually moved me?
Those came from small acts of devotion—helping someone, creating courses, leading workshops, decorating an altar, painting, making the world around me a little more magical.

I didn’t realize it at the time, but those acts were enchantments. They aligned me with the faery realm and the magic of my Soul far more deeply than all my dramatic wand waving.

It took a long time (and one quiz I designed for fun) to understand:

Magic stops being something you perform and becomes something you live.

Sure, I still love my crystals and books. I still practice reiki and enjoy communing with a tree in the woods. I don’t have to give up any of those other magical love languages, but I’m most at home with magical service and sharing what I learn… like I’m doing right now in this post.
