It wasn’t so long ago (just this morning, actually) that I stood by my window, watching the foggy mist drift through the field across the street, feeling more disconnected from myself than I had in quite a long time. Something felt missing—like there was a part of me that had been locked away since childhood, waiting to be remembered and released.
The doubt was overwhelming. What had I been doing wrong all these years? Why did I still feel so separate from the joy and purpose I kept reading about in spiritual books—and even experiencing at other times?
It’s not that I never feel joy. In fact, most of the time I am fairly content and even enthusiastic about life, but then those moments fade and my doubts raise their ugly heads.
I felt like I was failing at the very thing that mattered most to me—my own spiritual awareness.
These doubts seem to come in layers, buried beneath the business of life, popping up when least expected, like demons from the past that have been shut away for too long, bursting into view in moments of weakness—with messages like, “You’re not good enough!” “Who do you think you are?” “What’s wrong with you?”
That experience inspired a moment of deep reflection. I asked the universe a simple question: “What does my soul need me to know?” The answer that came through was a message so profound, it changed everything.

This pattern is activated around people who might judge you, reflecting the criticism you received from well-meaning but fearful parents and teachers.”
